flight worthy (Drama Short Film)
This film was a fun challenge to edit because of the heavy VFX used throughout the film. I was in constant contact with the VFX supervisor editing in VFX previs shots and suggesting adjustments.
This film also called for several story changes in the edit, necessitating a constant dialogue with the director for this film, with countless meetings detailing everything from big picture changes to minor cut changes.
Genesis (Action Short Film)
This film was essentially wall to wall fight scenes with some story and dialogue sprinkled throughout. Finding the balance not only with the fight scenes themselves, but the overall pacing of story and action in the film was the main concern when trying to keep the stakes interesting and making the viewer care about the characters.
Editing this film also involved using a lot of speed ramping to make attacks hit harder while also finding the limit to where the speed changes aren't too obvious.
Got Waffles? (Comedy Short Film)
This film featured a lot of jokes and quick banter that needed to be massaged into just the right timing to get the best laugh while also maintaining the heart of the film and showing the main character's arc. The quick montages intertwined with visual jokes were a lot of fun to cut together.
Myron Lin's Pizza Burger Joint (Comedy Short fIlm)
editing this film involved several interesting aspects. Most notably, I was tasked with creating a commercial for the fictional restaurant. I was given a large volume of green screen footage of the actor saying lines and improvising, and I cut together the best parts to make a cohesive commercial.
On top of that, I also did all of the visual effects for that sequence including keying the green screen and animating the assets.
